The Selkie quilt is ideal for confident beginner quilters. Conveniently designed for 10” squares or fat quarters. Created with traditional piecing and 8-at-a-time half-square triangles. Finished Size: 68” x 68”.

*Suggested: precut your background fabric and (if you are using) Fat Quarters into 10" squares prior to class to maximize your time in class. We suggest prepping your fabric before cutting with starch / Best Press to reduce fraying and stretching of fabrics while piecing (improves accuracy!)

If you want us to hold the pattern until you come in for your class, choose "pick up" for your online order.

Class sewing machine rentals are available for a nominal fee - call the store to reserve. 780-354-3423.

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring (along with your sewing machine) a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, cutting mat, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, tape measure/ruler(s), etc.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. You are welcome to arrange for someone else to take your spot in the class instead. Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
