Gingerbread Christmas Appliqué Class (Thurs Nov 21/24)

It's a gingerbread cookie Christmas pillow from Bunny Hill Designs. Enjoy these gingerbread men year after year. Using a (machine) blanket stitch to edge the appliqué makes this pillow fun and fast to make. Learn appliqué techniques and product tips in this class. 12.5 in x 16.5 in pillow (we made it into a lovely table topper/wall hanging).

FABRIC & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
Background fabric (behind Gingerbread Boys): Fat Eighth
Pillow fabric: 1/2m
Gingerbread Boys fabric: Three 7" x 7" scraps
Fusible web 1/4m (we recommend Steam-a-seam)
Pillow Form: 12" x 16" or stuffing
Embellishments: ribbon, tiny buttons, embroidery floss (or 12wt Sulky Petite thread) in red, white, brown
Embroidery Needle size 10 or 11, or Milliner Needle size 6

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring (along with your sewing machine) a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, cutting mat, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, tape measure/ruler(s), etc. We've got you covered here! 

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. You are welcome to arrange for someone else to take your spot in the class instead. Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
