Tote & Go Mesh Totebag (Sat Jun 14/25)

See the contents of your bag without even opening it! Having mesh as a section of your bag allows for easy viewing as well as being super easy to shake the sand out! 2 size options are included in the pattern however the small size will be reviewed in class as the current vinyl mesh that we have in stock fits for the smaller bag size: 13"x15"x3". Skills reviewed: 1/4" seam, french seam, folded corners. 

Pattern required.

FABRIC AND SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
As per the back of the pattern (suggest .75m to allow for fussy cutting or directional fabric)
Vinyl Mesh
1" Webbing for straps
Thread for top stitching that matches or coordinates
Long Ruler that is at least 8" wide
Wonderclips (as it is tricky to pin mesh!)
Marker (pen, pencil or chalk)
Bias tape NOT REQUIRED

Basic Sewing Kit (see below what we mean by this :)

SUGGESTED/HANDY TOOLS
1/4" Quilters Tape (helpful when sewing a very narrow seam)

Best Press is perfect to prep your fabric prior to cutting - helps keep fabric from fraying and stiffens fabric just a bit to help with fabric cut on the bias.

PREP WORK BEFORE CLASS
DO NOT prep or cut anything prior to class.  Helpful tips will be provided in class. 

*WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring (along with your sewing machine) a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, cutting mat, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, tape measure/ruler(s), etc.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable, however they are transferable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason. 
Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
