Heart of Hearts (Thur Sep 11/25)

Easy quilt to use up scraps in your stash! This Heart of Hearts quilt class is not only hosted by Kerry, but she designed the pattern as well! It features simple squares and 9-patch blocks, laid out to make a heart design.

When registering online, a discount will automatically be applied to your pattern. If you already have the pattern, choose the 'class only' option.
If you want us to hold the pattern until you come in for your class, choose "pick up" during the checkout process.

Class sewing machine rentals are available for a nominal fee - call the store to reserve. 780-354-3423.

FABRIC AND SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
Heart Outline - Fabric A: 1 metre

Body of quilt
Fabric B: .4m of 16 assorted MED-DARK fabrics
Breakdown if using scrap fabric: 16 colours (for good variety) using TWO 6.5" strips (by WOF)
OR: variety of fabrics TOTALLING 6.4m
Fabric C: .7m TOTAL of assorted LIGHT fabrics
Fabric D: .6m TOTAL of assorted LIGHT-MED fabrics

Marking tool, pen or pencil for marking half square triangles
Basic Sewing Kit (see below what we mean by this :)

SUGGESTED/HANDY TOOLS

Best Press is perfect to prep your fabric prior to cutting - helps keep fabric from fraying and stiffens fabric just a bit to help with fabric cut on the bias.

PREP WORK BEFORE CLASS
No prep work required. Tips on prepping and cutting fabric will be reviewed in class.

*WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring (along with your sewing machine) a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, cutting mat, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, tape measure/ruler(s), etc.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable, however they are transferable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason.
Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.

Materials Included:	Irons & ironing stations. Large dedicated sewing table.
Requirements:	*Basic Sewing Kit. Fabric requirements are listed on the back page of the pattern. If the pattern or supplies are out of stock when you register online - don't worry, more are on their way! Give us a call 780-354-3423 to make sure one is set aside for you.

Except for my blog, the other three are automated and routinely go out on time!
