Crescentwood Quilted Bag (Tues Apr 7/26)

The Crescentwod quilted is softly structured with a quilted finish, designed to feel comfortable and easy to wear, while still looking polished and intentional. It is roomy enough to hold your daily essentials without feeling bulky or oversized, making it a great choice for errands, outings, and day-to-day life. Thoughtful details are woven throughout the design, including two unique finishing options for the strap, allowing you to customize the look of your bag. Finished Bag Size: 11"W x 13"H x 4"D 
Bias binding is helpful for applying around curves, but is not necessary (regular binding works too)

FABRIC & SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS
Refer to back of pattern for fabric needs 
Batting 18" x 22"
1.5" Webbing
14" zipper closed end (or 15" of zipper tape) *tip - if possible, look for zippers with extra wide zipper tape (you will only need this if you choose to finish the strap with a closed loop (option B on page 14)
1.5" slide adjuster
Optional Rectangle Ring


SUGGESTED SUPPLIES
Marking tool (Hera marker) or fabric pen/pencil
Wonderclips - helps keep layers together without using pins
Stiletto - makes applying the binding that much easier when sewing with thick layers around corners
Zipper Foot - helps you get close enough to the zipper when sewing

PREP WORK BEFORE CLASS
Quilt your exterior/batting/lining fabric together - trimming of quilted panel can be done in class

WHAT IS IN A BASIC SEWING KIT:
For most of our classes we ask you to bring (along with your sewing machine) a 'basic sewing kit' which usually contains: rotary cutter and/or scissors, cutting mat, small snipping scissors, straight pins & a pin cushion or collector, seam ripper, a spool of neutral 50 wt cotton thread, extra bobbins, notebook & pen/pencil, tape measure/ruler(s), etc.


CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. You are welcome to arrange for someone else to take your spot in the class instead. Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.
