At Around the Block, we value customers and their privacy.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and providing a secure online shopping experience, and we believe all internet transactions should be convenient, reliable and secure.
We do not store any credit card information in our store. 
Our collection/payment system online is through PayPal - however, you are not required to have a PayPal account. Just click on the PayPal tab and it will take you to the next page of choosing your payment type.

INVENTORY

Not all of our in store inventory is listed on our website. 
Please contact us if you have any specific requests.
We are continually ordering or adding new stock, if there is something you are looking for - we are happy to source it for you!
We do our best to keep our systems up to date.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

In store: debit, credit and cash

Online: our system uses PayPal or you are welcome to check out as a guest (and use your own credit card, instead of a PayPal account)

You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to shop with us - Click the Pay with PayPal button and it will take you to the second page where you can choose to pay with your credit card.

 

RETURN POLICY

Products may be returned for a store credit within 30 days of original purchase.
The returned item(s) must be unopened and in “like new” condition.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Classes are non-refundable. No credit or refund will be given for a "no show" in class, regardless of reason. So please ensure that you are able to attend before signing up. You are welcome to arrange for someone else to take your spot in the class instead. Around The Block reserves the right to cancel classes/events for any reason. If this happens, you will be refunded your full class fee.

Non-refundable items: classes, fabric, books and patterns. 

 

CANCELLED ORDERS

We start working on your order as fast as we can!
So, if you need to cancel your order, please contact the store ASAP to avoid cancellation fees.

PRIVACY POLICY

Customer info is considered private information and is not shared or sold to any outside parties.

If you have provided an email address or sign up to our newsletters, you will receive routine emails.
We may also use your email address to correspond with you about an order or a particular sale/event/class that you have requested to be made aware of.

Our service department is open. We provided maintenance and repair services on all makes and models of sewing machines.

Newsletter Signup

We love Thursdays! Why? That is when our emails are automatically sent out!

These emails are independent of each other, so if you only want to know about classes, then only check that box.
Except for my blog, the other three are automated and routinely go out on time!

If you have "unsubscribed" from any of these automated emails in the past, this is where you can sign back up for them. Unfortunately, we are not able to bypass and do the "re" subscribing for you. (Absolutely no judgment here! I know what it is like to have a really full inbox and ya just wanna trim it down! But we would be super happy if you resubscribe once your inbox is manageable again.) Keep reading to find out how to re-subsrcibe to our Constant Contact managed blog/email newsletters.

You will also notice a special interest email sign up for Longarming - we have a few things up our sleeve on this one. 
If you are a longarmer (or considering a purchase) make sure to click this one off  - that way you will be included in on those emails. It could be anything from great resources, upcoming specials on supplies or machines, etc.

We anticipate that the Longarm specific email will come out a few times a year.

Our blog/email newsletters use a different marketing system that doesn't communicate well with our system at the till. SO, if you feel like you had signed up for our blog/email newsletters but aren't receiving them - click here to re-register with our Constant Contact newsletter system to make sure these land in your mailbox!
